Sorry for asking such a dumb question, but is the server online? I can't seem to create an account nor connnect to the game.

Forum and Game Accounts
We've seen it enough times, I feel we have to alert everyone once more about this. If you downloaded the game, you know that you must have a forum account to access it. Right?
DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT JUST TO DOWNLOAD THEN DELETE.
This is a direct violation of our rules regarding download access. Any users that are members as of current, your accounts are safe! You do not need to worry about what is going on currently, you stayed by the rules of the game. All in-game account holders that no longer have forum accounts, you have 30 days.
A 30 day ban has been placed on all accounts not following this rule.
30 days for what? You, the account holder, have 30 days to recreate your forum account or the in-game file will be terminated, permanently. It creates a security threat when you do not keep in touch with the site, and also makes it hard for staff to notify you of changes or restrictions on your account. It also violates the access to the download. Along with this post, the download page has been updated with a bold red text, you can't miss it. So, no more excuses.
It's happened enough, and we're warning you all one last time.
If you remake your account, we will gladly disable the ban on your current in-game files and permit you to play, but, if you fail to do so, not only will your IP be banned from the game, you will not be permitted to own another account within our server. You have been warned.
